ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

INCREASINGLY GREEN PROCESSES, PRODUCTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENTS

The whole Beschi team is perfectly aware of how the attention to environmental sustainability represents for companies a factor of competitiveness and development. This is the reason why sustainability is not only a pillar of Beschi’s mission and a guide of its work, but it represents an increasingly present and distinctive element of our commercial offer.

INVESTMENTS FOR THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

Respect and protection of the environment also includes greater sustainability of the production process. This is why Beschi has always been committed to carrying out structural interventions and investments aimed at promoting energy savings. Over the years the company has carried out:

  • replacement of all presses with latest generation 4.0 high energy saving hybrid models;
  • introduction of new chiller units for closed circuit water cooling of the moulds;
  • installation of inverters on all engines;
  • led lighting;
  • reduction in the consumption of methane gas for space heating thanks to a system that uses hot air produced by the press department refrigerators;
  • structural redevelopment of company buildings through the installation of a photovoltaic system with a power of 240 kw, which covers approximately 30% of the company’s needs, to reduce the environmental impact of everyday energetic needs.

SUSTAINABILITY IN THE MANAGEMENT OF RAW MATERIALS AND CONSUMABLES

All the raw materials we purchase are REACH-compliant, and in addition:

  • 30% of the purchased plastics are regenerated plastics from post production;
  • zero waste with our in-house recycling system of scrap grinding on board the press;
  • plastic and finished product packaging is sold to companies specialized in PE regeneration to be destined to a second life;
  • the stretch film used for the packaging of our products is made with 60% post-consumer recycled LDPE, fully recyclable and certified by IPPR, the Institute for the Promotion of Recycled Plastics. In this way, the consumption of virgin plastic is reduced, therefore oil and CO2 emissions into the air are reduced as well. With a thickness of only 12 μm, this stretch film guarantees greater resistance and adhesion than the traditional 23 μm one, thus allowing a reduction in volume and weight of waste from plastic packaging. Waste materials can be recycled by companies that deal with plastic recycling and then sold as a raw material for the production of new plastic items.

FHG PRS MANAGEMENT NETHERLAND has awarded Beschi with the PRS GREEN LABEL 2020 for the contribution to the circular system of pallet reuse.

SUSTAINABILITY OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT

  • All our articles are certified by technical data sheets that identify the type of plastic material with which they are made, useful for disposal.
  • The articles are all made of mono-material, therefore 100% recyclable
  • The products contain a low percentage of recycled plastic coming from the recovery of scraps that are created during the molding process
  • ECO items are made with 100% regenerated plastic.

In the textile sector, multipurpose tubes with high mechanical resistance can be used by verticalized textile companies that, by reusing the same tubes in-house many times, obtain economic savings and a reduction of disposable tubes to be disposed of.
