With the radial flange, it is no longer the tube that must adapt to the flange, but the flange that adapts to the tube. The pressure exerted by the arms that are inserted in the center of the flange (bearing) and the centrifugal force lead the flange to expand rapidly until it adheres to the circumference of the tube. It is therefore possible with the same flange to use plastic or cardboard tubes with internal diameters ranging from 66 mm to 70 mm.
